Glitz See – A Review

Hello everyone! I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you about the most recent item I have had the chance to review – a Glitz See! I was sent one, and it arrived on January 18. Want to see it? Here's a pic:

Isn't it cute??? It's very light too. But what does it do? Well, it's simple. You switch the little lever on it to the on position, toss it in your purse, shake, and you'll be able to see what's in your purse through the light the gem emits! Perfect for day or night, as it gets dark in many purses during the day. Or maybe my purse is just too stuffed xD Here's the best pic I could get of the light it emits:

I'm not sure if the camera does it justice, but the light is really powerful considering. It's an LED light, which is good because that means brighter and longer battery life. It also stays on for 15 seconds, which is a good balance between having the light long enough to see and saving the battery.

It's a bit small, (about 2 inches at its widest point) but considering its purpose, I think that's a good thing. Here is the size in comparison to my hand:

I tried it out, and I wish I had a decent picture but my camera just isn't good enough in the dark to catch all the light. It works really well though. I could see around, and though my purse is crammed with junk I could still see everything in the Glitz See's path, as though it were day! One thing to note: It works best if it can bounce around, by which I mean it's best not to hold it tight in your hand and shake, let it bounce off of your hand or in your purse.

I do love this gorgeous little gem, but there is something I would change about it. It does not come with a clip or anything like that, so I would add a removable clip to it in a perfect world. Other than that, I love the Glitz See, and it's pretty decently priced at around $15. In fact, they have a heart shaped Glitz See, official image shown below, perfect for Valentine's Day coming up!
